Learn more about OFF-Women

Here is the story of OffWomen:

OffWomen is first of all the name of a thrift store which was created by a biology student called Eva

Here is my story:

I'm Eva, I'm the one who takes care of everything in this adventure; I make posts on the networks, I select the articles, I take the photos, put them online, manage the stock, pay the invoices and so on, but how did I get there?

It’s simple: covid

I was forced to stop my studies because of Covid like many other students...
Unfortunately I didn't have a computer to follow the video lessons nor enough internet to do it from my phone...
I tried everything, I went to Starbucks or McDonald's at 8 a.m. to get WiFi but it was my phone that couldn't keep up...
I couldn't afford to buy a phone with enough power or a computer.
So I decided to take a gap year and resume my studies the following year.

So for a year I worked in mass distribution at minimum wage, I worked from Monday to Saturday every week. I only had Sunday off! I hated what I was doing, I couldn't even go on weekends with my friends... which made me think about what I really wanted to do!

Being a big fan of fashion and particularly vintage items, I decided alongside my work to sell my clothes that I had found everywhere for years at garage sales or other similar events on the application that everyone knows Vinted.
And it was a hit!

After selling almost my entire wardrobe I decided to continue thrifting not for myself but for everyone. I wanted more people to benefit from my findings. And above all, I wanted to help give a second life to these nuggets! Because each piece tells us a beautiful story and we can still enjoy them and avoid throwing them away. In addition, these are branded clothes (Ralph Lauren and Lacoste) which offer very good quality fabric and manufacturing. These are therefore articles that last over time.

In the end, I spent all my Sundays hunting for nuggets. To offer you ever more unique items that are, above all, accessible to as many people as possible.

In addition to that, by buying second-hand you become eco-responsible, you considerably reduce CO2 emissions and therefore avoid polluting our planet.

Knowing this, offering you a mode of consumption that limits your ecological impact has become my priority!

I hope I can make you want to consume fashion better and stop fast fashion which, in addition to enormously polluting our planet, is not at all ethical for those who work in these industries...
And I was complaining about my job in mass distribution...

You can change things with me! I'm not asking you to stop buying fast fashion but at least to reduce and think about all that, to think about the future and to make a small gesture for the environment.
All these small gestures are important because in the end, our community grows little by little and the more it evolves, the more we contribute to reducing sales in fast fashion and overconsumption.

In addition, the items that I sell are and will always be in demand on the market and if you no longer want them, your style changes, you can always resell them because thanks to their qualities they will always be reusable!

Thank you for your gesture

In this ever more eco-responsible approach, I am committed to purchasing recycled paper for slips, reusable and biodegradable plastic-free shipping pouches.
